RISE supports social entrepreneurship in Western Balkans
RISE is opening up new opportunities for reconciliation between young people in the Western Balkans through its support programme, The RISE Journey.
The programme aims to encourage social entrepreneurship among young people in Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kosovo*, Montenegro, Northern Macedonia and Serbia.
RISE is also committed to strengthening the capacity of the regional ecosystem by providing ongoing support to six local incubators to refine their support systems.
After the success of the first cycle, the RISE project has been renewed for three more years with the support of its partners. Together, let’s make the region a better place!

What is social entrepreneurship?
A social enterprise combines entrepreneurial activity with a social purpose. Its main aim is to have a social impact, rather than maximise profit for owners or shareholders. Businesses providing social services and/or goods and services to vulnerable persons are typical examples of social enterprises.
At RISE, we have created a free MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) for everyone to discover social entrepreneurship.
